It’s about time to make certain disclosures concerning the “Star Wars” saga. To begin with, George Lucas’ original idea was to shoot a musical comedy intended to raise funds for an alien civilization that was going through some economic difficulties. It was the aliens themselves who inadvertently suggested the genre change to George Lukas by placing at his disposal their hyperspace technology including their starfighters and their Death Star. At first the writers tried to incorporate the Death Star into the comedy plot by making a few changes to the script (when the starring couple gets married, the Death Star could be part of the dowry) but it was somewhat forced. So singers and dancers were fired and siths and jedis were hired instead.
